On Monday, September 21, 2020, Eileen Williamson Pereira, loving wife, sister, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend passed away at the age of 83. Eileen was born and raised in Ludlow, MA where she fell in love with her husband Sebastian “Cheb“ Pereira and raised their daughter Kelly Pereira Hubacz and son Scott Pereira.
Eileen passionately worked at Career Technical High School in West Springfield until she was 77 years old. More than anything she loved singing in the folk group and church choir at St. John the Baptist, spending her summers in Wells, Maine, reading risqué books and spending time with her family.
Eileen leaves behind a very loud, opinionated, never-a-dull-moment, loving family: daughter Kelly Pereira Hubacz and husband Drew Hubacz, grandchildren Lane Hubacz and wife Caitlin Hubacz, Ashley Hubacz Norman and husband Joshua Norman, and Tyler Pereira and partner Marissa Kane and mother Tanya Scurry, three great grandchildren of Lane and Caitlin: Finley, Adeline, and Theo. Among many nieces, nephews, and friends, Eileen will also be remembered by her three beloved and equally crazy sisters, Lorraine Ney, Alice Costa, and Joyce Gregoire. All of Eileen’s family will greatly miss her telling everyone what to do.
A celebration of Eileen’s life will be held on Wednesday, September 30, 2020 at 10:00 AM in St. Elizabeth’s Parish, Hubbard St, Ludlow, MA. Burial will follow in Island Pond Cemetery.
