Obituary

Eugene “Gene” Arabik, 76, passed into eternal life on Tuesday, August 13, 2024. He was born on January 6, 1948 to Stanley and Mary (Kozyra) Arabik. Gene grew up in Wilbraham and attended Immaculate Conception School in Indian Orchard. He graduated from Cathedral High School and attended American International College. Gene proudly served our country as a member of the Massachusetts Air National Guard, in Westfield. He was employed at the U.S. Postal Service Bulk Mail Center in Springfield. His leisure time was spent watching the Red Sox, Bruins and trying his luck at Foxwoods.

Gene leaves his brother Stephen Arabik and his wife Mary, his sister Dorothy Soja, many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and his good friends Phyllis and Bob Jendza.

The family extends a special thanks to Jessica Dral and Rod Rodriguez for their devoted care to Gene during his last months.

Family and friends are invited to meet for Gene’s funeral services on Friday, August 16, 2024 at 11:00 AM in Christ the King Church, Warsaw Avenue, Ludlow, MA.

I know he is at peace now. I will miss our visits and family gatherings with him. I always remember visiting him during my childhood when he still lived with my grandparents and worked at Popular Market. We used to watch The Wild, Wild West together. He was a special godfather to me and I am grateful.
